Public Open House of 1880 Walter Grover Home to be Held April 20th
Don't miss this opportunity to visit Rock House Financial's very own Farmington Historic Landmark when we open our doors to public tours 2 p.m.–6 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018.
Come take a self-guided tour and see how this historically significant building has been preserved while maintaining the unique architectural heritage of the pioneer-era home.
The Grover home is one of several stone structures still standing that were built during Farmington’s founding period using the area's plentiful field and foothill rock. 19-year-old Walter Grover built it in 1880 as a gift for his mother, Elizabeth Walker Grover, a Mormon handcart pioneer who emigrated from England to Utah in 1856. The building was fully restored in 2008 by its current owner, Bob Aamodt, owner and financial adviser with Rock House Financial.
The open house will be Friday, April 20, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 630 N. Main Street in Farmington. Light refreshments served.
